Well it’s been a week since the Gentleman Adventurer and his lovely Cat arrived in the Cape. In that time we have finally made the move into our own little place, which we are subletting from my mate Zeke. It’s in a really great location in what is known as the City Bowl and makes our lack of wheels a little more manageable as we can walk to most places.
Cat pointed out that this is the first time we have ever lived together sans parents or housemates and I must admit it’s pretty cool. We have been for a couple of runs as we try and prepare her for the Knysna half marathon in a months time. I took her up one of my favourite routes which takes one onto the trails going up the mountain and she really did well given I had somewhat romanticised the experience.
Work related news is that Ben Schilling and I will be pitching our albino story to a number of international magazines this coming week. If you have any ideas or contacts that you reckon we should pursue then please get in touch.
Cat is busy reaching out to Professors and NGOs in and around Cape Town while at the same time applying for work throughout South Africa and Africa. Again ideas and contacts are always welcome.
I know its not exciting but such is life at the moment, I promise to do something crazy and interesting soon!
